New Bed and Breakfasts in town

Not to be outdone by the multitude of charter boats (World Class, Of course!) and coffee shops in Homer, it seems every other driveway holds a B&B. If you link to them on the Chamber site, www.homeralaska.org , you’ll know almost as much as I know about them. If you want to smash guitars and drink until you’re sick, you’re probably not reading this site and hotels better suit you. In general, B&Bs are pleasant and more of an “experience” but require more effort on your part to reach their potential. Some B&Bs have freezers but hotels in Homer do not! If you want to grab a quick bite, sleep, and fish maybe a hotel is better. One B&B I have heard nothing but raves about is Halcyon Heights, one of the originals. Men, before booking, look at the rooms at Halcyon Heights. If you still book, you’re probably very happily married…
